How to Purchase Mutual Funds
Whether it's online, through the telephone, or in person, clients of TD Waterhouse can purchase mutual funds in a variety of ways.
The first step is to open an account. Once you have received your new account number, or if you already have an active account, you can choose from among the following options:
1. Purchase Through our Electronic Channels
Use one of our Electronic Brokerage Services (EBS) products to buy, sell, or switch mutual funds: WebBroker, TalkBroker, TeleMax.
Register for WebBroker, our Internet brokerage service.
2. Purchase by Phone
A FundSmart Mutual Fund Specialist is the ideal resource for all mutual fund and mutual fund portfolio related questions and discussions. They can be reached Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, at 1-800-461-FUND (3863).
Alternatively, for quick and efficient trade execution, speak to a TD Waterhouse Investment Representative at 1-800-465-5463.
3. Systematic Investment Plan
A TD Waterhouse Systematic Investment Plan is an ideal way to invest regularly in mutual funds. Invest as little as $25 a month for TD Mutual Funds or $100 each month for mutual fund units from some of the top fund companies in Canada.
4. In Person
You always have the option of making your mutual fund purchases in person at one of our TD Waterhouse branches across the country. Use our Branch Directory to find the nearest location.
